Ms. Traub was a GAL on a motion to amend a parenting agreement between my wife and her ex-husband. You may have expectations of what a GAL should do in their role to decide what is best for children in these kinds of situations. So read on if you want to see what Ms. Traub chose to do in our case compared to what your expectations may be. In our case, according to her records she disclosed after the case, she did interview my wife, her ex-husband, the two children involved in the case, and one teacher and the principal at the school the children attend. Each only once for about 30-60 minutes. She did research school quality at the district my wife and I live in vs the district the children's father lives in using three different online sources. She did not interview the children's stepfather (me), the children's father's long-term significant other, the children's half-brother, any extended family, any past teachers or past principals, the children's therapist, the children's friends, the children's doctors, or any other relevant individuals who may have had insight into the needs of the children. She did not complete a home visit for either my wife or the children's father. As far as I am aware according to her records she disclosed, she did not gather any other pertinent information regarding the social, religious, educational, emotional, familial, financial, family and parental history, or mental and physical health needs or life context of the children or either parent other than what is described above. Use this for what you will when deciding if Ms. Traub or her firm are appropriate for your needs as a GAL in your case. Also of note, I previously submitted a negative review on here regarding this case, and Ms. Traub's firm sent me a cease and desist letter insisting that the review be taken down else she would pursue legal action against me for libel. This despite the deleted review being focused mostly on the plain facts of what she did and did not do in the case, other than one sentence which was admittedly a bit insulting and one paragraph in which I speculated about why she may not have gathered more information than she did. I deleted this previous review and am now reposting this amended version to state plainly ONLY facts that happened in the case. Use this information for what you will in deciding if Ms. Traub and her firm's actions meet your ethical and freedom of speech standards.

Consultation: Michael was a very thorough and thoughtful listener, took time to explain all the aspects of my nuanced trust set up. Pricing is explained upfront and half is paid if you want to proceed after the consultation. Then I got a draft email copy in the time frame that he had told me to expect it.
